"Uptown Funk" diperkenalkan oleh penyanyi sekaligus seorang produser asal Inggris - Mark Ronson, dalam video clip tersebut menampilkan vokalis  Bruno Mars. Video clip ini dirilis sebagai promo album keempat "Uptown Khusus" yang dirilis pada 2015 mendatang melalui Sony Music Entertainment. Lagu ini ditulis oleh Ronson, Jeff Bhasker, Mars, Philip Lawrence, Devon Gallaspy dan Nicholaus Williams.
