Huawei's European Research Centre (ERC) in Munich is responsible for advanced technical research, architecture evolution design and strategic technical planning. The Central Research Institute (CRI) within the ERC plays an important role in structuring research around M2M and is committed to become a major player in the research community through cooperation with industry and academia. We are currently looking for a Senior Researcher M2M.

Your Responsibilities:
- Technology planning: monitoring & analyzing new trends on M2M applications, network & technical solutions; evaluating impact on Huawei solution offering & network related aspects, proposing topics for new internal research projects
- Research: working closely with HQ teams on related projects, contributing to filing essential patent applications & providing technical guidance to local researchers on innovative solutions
- Partnership: establishing communication channels & cooperation projects with major players (e.g. operators, profit & non-profit research institutes & vendors) in M2M area
- Standardization: providing technical contributions & taking part in relevant SDOs (e.g. OneM2M), based on business needs


Requirements:
- MSc in Telecommunications/Computer Science/Computer Networks with 5+
- Broad knowledge of M2M platform, middleware, technologies & applications
- Good knowledge of Future Internet, IoT architecture and related services
- Familiar with web services, cloud computing, storage and security
- Experience in technical planning and leading of a research team
- Experience in EU FP Projects in M2M area and M2M related SDOs are preferred
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), German is desirable
- Professional, proactive, creative and quality oriented, valuing internal and external customers
- Experience with Asian business culture is a plus
- Willingness for worldwide short-term travels
- Good presentation and reporting skills
